Armenia Weather

Despite being on similar latitude to Mediterranean countries such as Greece and Spain, most of Armenia has a continental climate. This is due to its high elevation and inland location, and means that the summers can be very hot and the winters quite cold, especially on the Ararat plain. The climate also varies by region, due to the terrain, and includes temperate rainforests in the north and south, and arctic like conditions on some of the highest peaks. Generally speaking, the best time to visit Armenia is in the spring.
